      It is highly recommended that Contestants attend one of the following scheduled orientation meetings.  
              
  • Time Requirement: The Miss San Joaquin County Pageant is a "local" preliminary to Miss California.  Therefore, earning the crown of Miss San Joaquin County means you become an ambassadress of San Joaquin County and our Scholarship Organization throughout the year of your reign.  Thus, this title requires: time, energy, commitment, and taking an active role in promoting the Program through your platform in your community.
  • Scholarships and Awards:   This is a Scholarship Organization. Therefore, the primary awards given are in the form of scholarships.     Come to an Orientation meeting to learn about all the various scholarship opportunities
  • Financial Requirements:
    • Contestants are expected to raise $100 in donations to the Children's Miracle Network, the Miss America Organization's official platform.
    • At the local level, there are no entrance fees.  However, contestants are encouraged to participate in various fundraisers, including selling tickets to the pageant and advertisements in our Pageant Program Book.

  • Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to compete for the title of Miss San Joaquin County, a young woman must:
    • Either reside or attend school in San Joaquin or Stanislaus Counties
    • Be a US citizen
    • Be at least 17 years at the time of the pageant
    • Be no older than 24 years old on December 31, 2017
    • Be a high school graduate or will graduate from high school no later than seven months after the date of the pageant
    • Have never been married or had children
    • Be a legal resident of California at least 6 months prior to the pageant

      • Submit your Entry Form (101) online NOW:  Click HERE to be taken to the Miss California website Forms page.  Then, click on the button for Form 101 on , enter your information, and submit your form!
      • All other forms are also available from this same Miss California website Forms page but cannot be submitted online.  (More information at our Orientation Meetings)

      • Local (Miss San Joaquin County's OT) Contestants a - It is highly recommended that you attend one of the scheduled orientation meetings. 
      • Open (Miss Central California's & Miss Delta Valley's OT) Contestants - While it is recommended to attend an Orientation, if you have competed in an Miss California's Outstanding Teen or if you live a distance from San Joaquin County, a private telephone interview will suffice.

                   
    • Time Requirements
      • The title of Miss San Joaquin County's Outstanding Teen is  "local" preliminary to Miss California’s Outstanding Teen.  Therefore, being named Miss San Joaquin County’s Outstanding Teen means you become an ambassadress of San Joaquin County and our Scholarship Organization throughout the year of your reign.  Thus, this title requires: time, energy, commitment, and taking an active role in promoting the Program through your platform in your community.
      • While the two Open titles do not require the same time commitment to San Joaquin County local events, they are always welcome to participate in any of the schedule local events.  They will be required to the same level of time, energy and commitment to preparing for the Miss California's OT Competition.
    • Financial Requirements:
      • A minimum sponsorship of $250.00 is required of all Outstanding Teen contestants (both Local and Open) .   This sponsorship does provide an advertisement in our 2017 Program Book and a minimum scholarship to each contestant.
      • Further information to be provided at Orientation.
    • Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to compete for the title of Miss San Joaquin County’s Outstanding Teen, a young woman must:
      • Either reside or attend school in San Joaquin County or Stanislaus County (Does Not apply to Open Titles)
      • Be a US citizen and a resident of California for the last six months
      • Must be at least 13 by the first day of the Miss California's Outstanding Teen Competition in 2017
      • No older than 17 by July 31st, 2017
      • May not be 17 and a High School Senior

    Open to Girls ages 4 -12

    The Miss San Joaquin County Princess Program introduces girls, ages 4 -12, to an experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives!

    In this program, Princesses:

    • Attend Princess Camp and Coronation Ceremony
    • Perform onstage at the 2016 Miss San Joaquin County Pageant
    • Are each mentored by a Miss San Joaquin County or Miss San Joaquin County Outstanding Teen “Big Sister”
    • Present flowers to their special “Big Sister" during the Evening Gown Competition on Pageant night
    • Recieve special Princess training and onstage  pageant and production experience in a fun, non-competitive environment appropriate for their age level.

    Each Princess also receives:

    • Miss San Joaquin County Princess Tiara
    • Miss San Joaquin County Princess Sash
    • Official Princess T-Shirt
    • Special recognition and her picture in the Miss San Joaquin County Souvenir Program Book
    • Special recognition and her picture on the Miss San Joaquin County website
    • Special front row seating for herself and one adult chaperone at the Miss San Joaquin County Pageant (includes complementary tickets for Princess and her chaperone.)
    • Opportunity to perform at the Miss San Joaquin County Fund-raising Dinner Show
    • Opportunities to participate in appearances with Miss San Joaquin County and Miss San Joaquin County's Outstanding Teen throughout the year.
